Spring Nights

A faint glimpse of the outer rim of our home galaxy the milky way behind a curtain of northern lights

This image is just a little over a month old and already impossible to replicate.
At first you might think it’s just because of the lack of snow, but in fact it’s also because now at the same time of day (21:15) the sun isn’t even close to setting, thus making it impossible to see anything other than clouds in the sky.
I’m already looking forward to the autumn, when given a little luck I might be able to get a look closer to the core of the milky way similar to last year.
For good images of the aurora on the other hand we’ll have to wait a little longer.
